This Power Asanas class explores the theme of Fire and Air — transformation with patience. A practice designed to help you clear mental clutter, build focused strength, and move with intention as we approach the quiet reset of the lunar cycle.
We begin by warming up the obliques and core with side plank variations to awaken stability through the sides of the body. From there, we prepare the shoulders with strengthening drills in Tabletop and Śalabhāsana (Locust Pose) to build the support needed for arm balances.
The peak pose of the practice is Eka Pada Koundinyasana. We approach it progressively through Lizard Pose, exploring how the hips, core, and shoulders work together to create lift and lightness. Along the way we play with a pulsing High Lunge flow, building heat and mobility while refining control and breath.
Throughout the class we experiment with creative transitions, inviting curiosity and patience as the body learns new pathways.
The practice winds down with deep hip and shoulder release in Cow Face Pose (Gomukhāsana) and Saithalyāsana, allowing the nervous system to soften and integrate the work.
Expect a class that is strong yet thoughtful, where effort and patience meet — like the steady flame that transforms without rushing.
