The different yoga classes we offer:

Flexibility

In this flexibility class we start with an effective warm up to prepare the body for a good stretch. Different props are used; such as elastics, the feetup and the aerial yoga stirrups, which help get into a deeper, and more satisfying stretch. Good flexibility helps a better range of motion and helps muscle strength to prevent injuries. A class for all levels! These classes are taught by Margherita. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Hatha Yoga

In this perfect class for beginners, you can find the balance between body and mind. The body is worked through the asanas (postures) and all the muscles are toned in a controlled way while you will also learn to control resistance and flexibility in a slow manner. A much less dynamic class than Element Yoga or Warrior Yoga, in this Hatha Yoga class you will learn to control the mind through meditation and pranayama (energy control) through breathing techniques. This class is taught by Marghertia and Sam. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Yoga Alignment

This class is based on Iyengar yoga and Yin yoga teaching methods. This style of yoga is designed to offer the student a thorough understanding of the postures and to explore asanas on a deeper level. It emphasises correct alignment of all parts of the body within each yoga pose. This precision builds strength and stamina–balance and flexibility–and a new sense of self-exploration and well being. Alignment Yoga allows steady progress in the art and science of yoga and provides solid tools to make almost any yoga pose work for you. This class is taught by Sonia, a fantastic French-Austrian yoga teacher who is fabulous at correcting postures. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Warrior Yoga

Warrior Yoga is a dynamic and cardio based yoga that facilitates the elimination of toxins through breathing and challenging sequences. This style of yoga helps you to empower your inner warrior, to step out of your confort zone and to learn how to get rid of unnecessary fears. The mantra of Warrior yoga is “I Can”, allowing you to progress rather quickly in your physical and spiritual practice. This class is also taught by Sonia, an incredible yoga teacher with lots of patience. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Element Vinyasa Yoga

A dynamic class that connects one of the five elements with fluid movements (of the Krama Vinyasa style). The entire body is worked through the asanas (postures) placed in a sequence (flow). The fluid movement strengthens the muscles and improves flexibility while using breathing techniques to control and guide the mind, balancing mind and body. Each class starts with 5 minutes of meditation and ends with 5 minutes of relaxation. A class for all levels, however it is considered to be rather dynamic. Yoga beginners welcome! This class is taught by Marghertia, specialised in Krama Vinyasa. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Strong Asanas

In this strength building class we focus on 2 strong asanas from an intermediate yoga class (the asanas change each week). The class begins with a 5 minute wrist warm up and procedes with a series of shoulder, core and active flexibility exercises in order to achieve the main goal. Please note that this is NOT a yoga class. There is no meditation or relaxation. It is purely to work towards the strength to achieve some of the harder asanas (postures) from a vinyasa yoga class. This class is also taught by Marghertia and Sam. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Introduction to Ashtanga Vinyasa
(Primary series with modifications)

Dive into this immersion of Ashtanga Vinyasa with Sam, who will take you through the postures of the Primary series in digestible segments. He will guide the classes following the traditional counted method (Sanskrit) with emphasis on the three fundamental components of Ashtanga Vinyasa, otherwise known as “Tristhana” (Ujjayi, Bandhas and Dristhi). He will continually provide variations in order to modify potentially challenging postures with the intention of allowing a wider spectrum of practitioners a chance to explore the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa. This class is taught by Sam. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).

Power Flow

An energising and fast paced dynamic Vinyasa class with emphasis on generating heat. The sequences will be delivered with a focus on opening one’s body through mobility and flexibility work that will also help to improve endurance and strength. This class is suited to Intermediate level students with a solid foundation in movement practice. This class is also taught by Sam. (Please note: space and availability may vary due to COVID19 regulations. No drop-ins allowed. You must book your place in advance).
