What is a yoga-thai massage?
A yoga-thai massage is a traditional healing treatment that combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Thai massage works the entire body, starting with the feet and working all the way up to the face and scaplt through a sequence of movements that are similar to yogic stretching and deep tissue massage. The therapist uses the palms of the hands and fingers to apply firm pressure to the body. Sometimes the feet are also used to massage the back. The receiver is turned and stretched in various positions. Thai massage is performed fully clothed and does not include any essential oils (except for the last part of the face if desired). The recipient should dress in loose, comfortable clothing during the massage.

Can Yoga-Thai Massage help with emotional healing?
Absolutely!
Have you ever noticed that when your anxious, food just doesn’t seem to go down the same way? When you stress out, your muscles tense up and you begin to clench everything up. It’s completely normal. We all do it. The fact is, even on a subconscious level, feelings and thoughts build up. If you’re not used to talking about things, or even if you are, your body begins to assimilate how you feel and it tries to purge it in some form or another.
A yoga-thai massage may not only feel nice when the pressure of the deep tissue massage begins to melt away the tension, but it could also bring up some bottled up emotions. Why does this happen? It may seem a little far fetched to think that your body stores your emotions, but humans are not just made up of muscle. The word yoga means body and mind in Sanskrit. Whether you want to admit it or not, the two go hand in hand. The body cannot life without a mind, and the mind would be nothing without a body.
What are the benefits?
- Reduce stress
- Increase energy
- Relieves headaches
- Stimulates circulation
- Improve range of motion
Why are there negative connotations?
There seems to be a huge misunderstanding that Thai massage is with “a happy ending” as they say. The therapist should NEVER touch the receiver in a sexual way nor is it a sexual massage in the least.

Yoga-Thai Massage Review by: Helena González
“I went in completely unknowing of what a Thai massage was, I wanted to try the experience without telling myself what it was and letting my body experience it. What I found was a sort of unlocking as I progressed. My body did not want to allow to deepen into different parts, and little by little it was letting go and enjoying the experience. It is something different since it’s not a massage done with oil, but I was hands (and feet) of Margherita, who makes you enjoy even when your body contorts as if it were gum, twisting you into various positions. I left with a feeling of well-being and after a few days, I understood that I myself was suffering from an anxious situation that had calmed down, feeling much more relaxed and active.”

“Highly recommended massage”. Marga is an excellent professional. She achieved exactly what I expected; not only did he relax me, but he also solved the muscle pain and sciatica problems that I suffered from. On a mental level I also felt a great change with the passing of the days. Fully recommended and eager to repeat!
